My favorite piece of technology

My favorite piece of technology is a toaster.

It’s not only mine, it’s all my family and we got it like four years ago because our first toaster died -Lider Supermarket gave it to my mother because she has a lot of points because she is a very good consumer-.
I use it putting one, two, three or four breads inside. I choose the level 6 –the hotter level- and I wait between two and four minutes and ¡chan! My bread is toasted, hot and creaking, ready to be eaten…
I use it almost all mornings when I take my breakfast.
I like it because it turns my bread into a better bread, so it turns my morning into a better morning. When I’m too cold –at winter- I wait my crunchy bread putting my hands over the toaster to warm them, that’s cool.
I can’t imagine my life without it. I would be forced to eat cold bread, or toasted it in the kitchen and eat a gasified and burned bread!!!!!!!!

The Skatalites

This Jamaican band was created in the sixteenth century. The Skatalites (composed by nine members in the beginning) created the “ska”, the predecessor music’s style o f rocksteady and reggae. There were influenced by the jazz’s musicians from Jamaica and there were also influenced by Africans sounds and the boogie woogie, come from USA.
I like this band because it sounds good.
In general, its music is only instrumental, there isn’t singing and I like it very much because you can interpret the song from your feelings and sensations and not with your reason or your mind, you aren’t limited by the words, you are free..chachachaaaaaan.
And I also love rocksteady and especially reggae music, so there’s no way I couldn’t no like ska, because from it, this two styles appeared.
One of my favorite song –I have to say that I’m far from know all of them- is “Swing easy”, a song from “Ball of fire” Album. I chose this one because it’s make me feel alright, it relaxes me but in an active way.

MY FIRST POST:

Hi guys! My name is Manuela Alamos Silva. I'm gonna present myself and a part of my life in this blog, so cute...
I was born on December 1991 in Santiago of Chile. I was born in there because there were better (and it still being) medical technology than Coyaique, place where my parents and two big brothers lived.
So I lived my two first years of life in Coyaique. Then we moved to Osorno and I lived here until my nine years old. My little sister was born in Osorno.
After we moved to Santiago, and there I am.

I was been in the Alianza Francesa of Osorno, and after of Santiago, where I finished my studies. I made PSU and I've got in Catholic University to study Design, but I didn't like the carrier and the ambience so I left the University.
I was in there only three month. After I worked in Blockbuster and in November I travelled to Ecuador with this money, it was so fun.
The last year I've got in Chilean University to study Sociology. Now I'm in my second year, I'm not really convinced whit the carrier but I think I'm going to stay.

My hobbies are come to the University at bike; I live at Vitacura so it's a big stretch but I love it because it save me of f*** traffic, and it's a good way to doing exercise. Another hobbie is scouting, I know there is quite nerd but I love it; I'm girl scout since ten years old. I loved to being with my friends, my dear boyfriend, listen music, going to the cinema, but the think that I almost like is travel, and no only travel go out Chile, travel anywhere and know and see others landscapes and people.
