Hello!
I have to say that I really enjoy blogging in class; in fact it was the funniest work for me of English class.  But at the end of the semester I was very tired so I wasn’t very concentrated and I wanted to finish quickly the posts.

I enjoyed it because topics were funnies and how we had to comment to our classmates I read interesting things from my classmates so I learned many things of them and things that I didn’t know like new movies, music and life…

The post that I didn’t like was the third because I really don’t understand which is the interest to talk and read (from the others classmates) about our favorite piece of technology  :S

It helped me improve my English because it forced me -in a good sense- to write in English about many different topics so I had to use a lot of vocabulary. And I have to say that I was very surprise because I thought that I knew less but I also realize that there are many many things that I have to improve and the practice is the only way…and blogging is only practice!

I think that blogging in the English class is cool! Because you learn, you express yourself and you use the computer, thing that is very attractive for young people like me, so it does you to be kept concentrated and it isn’t a typical English school boring thing.

Well, teacher, thank you very much. I am grateful for your “good wave”!!!!!!! You are the best English teacher ever!! (Film expression, don’t?)

Bye-bye!

The Praying Mantis

I'm going to talk about one of my favorite animals, in that case, it's an insect: The Praying Mantis (or santateresa), it has this name because of the typical "prayer-like" stance.

It is usually 5–7.5 cm -who was introduce to America in 1899-,  it has two big compound eyes and three simple eyes between them. His front legs, which it supports withdrawals before the head, are provided with thorns to hold to his dams.

I like this insect because, when I see it for the first time, in "Karate Kid" the movie, Mr. Miyagi teach to Dani San that the Praying Mantis was a very good, calm, and intelligent animal, so he told him to follow its exemple. At the first Dani San thought that Mr. Miyagi was a freak and a crazy teacher. But with the passage of time he realice that the Prayer Mantis was very wise, and because it was a solitary animal who knows itself and can survive alone.

Of course I can have it at home, but I think that in any moment it can to escape to my garden, and I’m not really interested by having one!

It has a lot of freaks characteristics, one of them is that its head can turn even 180 º!!!!
What a freaaakk!!

BOLIVIA

HELLLOOOOOWWWWWWWWWWWWWWW

...I would like to go to Bolivia, because the people have told me that it’s the hemisphere’s highest, most isolated and most rugged nation. It boasts among the driest, saltiest and swampiest natural landscapes in the world. Although the poorest country in South America it’s also one of the richest in terms of natural resources. It’s also South America’s most indigenous country, with over 60% of the population claiming indigenous heritage, including Aymará, Quechua, Guaraní and over 30 other ethnic groups. Bolivia has it all…except, that is, for beaches.
This landlocked country boasts the soaring peaks of the Cordillera Real around Sorata and the hallucinogenic salt flats of Uyuni, the steamy jungles of the Amazon Basin and wildlife-rich grasslands of the Southeast. Unparalleled beauty is also reflected in its vibrant indigenous cultures, colonial cities such as Sucre and Potosí, and whispers of ancient civilizations. You have many opportunities for cultural and adventure activities and off-the-beaten-path exploration have exploded.
I think it’s really possible to go there because is not far of Chile and it’s a very sheap country, so you don’t need many money to survive there. I hope go there soon!!!

Beetlejuice

It’s very very very very difficult to me to choose one movie as my favorite film… there’re so many good movies in the world!
But well, life is the life. I’m going to choose one that I think you all know and you all saw when you were kids, it’s called “Beetlejuice”.
This movie is an American comedy horror film, catalogued as horror film because it shows horrible, dark and disgusting things but of a funny, coarse and burlesque way.
It was filmed in 1988 and directed by Tim Burton, famous for quirky-themed movies such as this one.
The film stars Alec Baldwin, Geena Davis, Winona Ryder, Catherine O'Hara, Jeffrey Jones, Sylvia Sidney, and Michael Keaton as the titular Betelgeuse (the film's title being a phonetic spelling of the character's name).
The plot revolves around a recently deceased young couple who become ghosts haunting their former home and an obnoxious, devious "bio-exorcist" named Betelgeuse from the underworld who tries to scare away the new inhabitants permanently.
I like this movie because the hero is an anti-hero, he’s horrible, degenerate, rude, dirty, disgusting, bad, etc. and he is very funny because he is all that you don’t have to be.
I like the film also for his aesthetics, his scenery and setting, because it shows a surrealist world whit many colors, with strange things and creative and original monsters.

My favorite photograph

This picture was taken by Salil Bera, an Indian photograph on July 19th 2011.
In this picture a leopard attacks a forest warden after escaping, from the Mahananda Wildlife Sanctuary, in West Bengal, India. But don’t be afraid, the animal had been inadequately tranquilized during an operation to capture ir and return to the reserve, after it had threatened inhabitants of the village of Limbu. The warden survived the attack, but unfortunately the leopard was killed during attempts to subdue it.
I like this picture because I think it’s a amazing picture, very unique and it manages to transmit edginess and fear though we are not present in this moment. At the same time, I think it’s a very beautiful picture because of its showy colors.
Since now I know that if I go to the jungle, I have to look after the back!!

CHACAREROOW

Hello gluttonous people!

I’m a little sad because I wanted to right about artichoke, but you, fat people, you want to talk about dishes…so you bulling me.

So, one of my favorite dishes is CHACARERO, a sandwich. I really love almost all the food but today I even haven’t had lunch so I’m thinking in the fattest food in the world.

The ingredients of the lovely CHACARERO are:
- Frica bread
- Green cut chili
- Straps of meat, or steak
- Green beans, cold and stews
- Tomatoes in tracks
- Mayonnaise, if you want…of course I want it!!!

It comes from Chile!!! It is one of the better creations of this country.

I like it because it’s very delicious, and you can find it in everywhere, and because it’s not a ship dish. And it’s perfect to be accompanied whit a cold and refresh bier.

I eat it when I go out with my friends, but in general when my boyfriend invited me to eat fat food, but lamentably or lucky it’s not very usually.

My favorite piece of technology

My favorite piece of technology is a toaster.

It’s not only mine, it’s all my family and we got it like four years ago because our first toaster died -Lider Supermarket gave it to my mother because she has a lot of points because she is a very good consumer-.
I use it putting one, two, three or four breads inside. I choose the level 6 –the hotter level- and I wait between two and four minutes and ¡chan! My bread is toasted, hot and creaking, ready to be eaten…
I use it almost all mornings when I take my breakfast.
I like it because it turns my bread into a better bread, so it turns my morning into a better morning. When I’m too cold –at winter- I wait my crunchy bread putting my hands over the toaster to warm them, that’s cool.
I can’t imagine my life without it. I would be forced to eat cold bread, or toasted it in the kitchen and eat a gasified and burned bread!!!!!!!!
